OUR APPROACH TO

COMMUNITY SAFETY AND POLICING

Our firm has a special interest and experience in projects dealing with the development of safe communities - in areas ranging from developing national policy on safe communities to crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) to community-based police partnerships with multicultural communities to drug enforcement initiatives

Our focus is on community-based safety initiatives and the development of a planning and budgeting process through which those with responsibility for building safe communities (e.g., community members, police) can jointly identify security threats, identify strategic and resource requirements to combat threats and implement effective solutions.

A cornerstone of our approach is the involvement of community members who are well placed to identify safety problems, to propose solutions to overcome these problems and to help implement solutions.
